How Duels Works

What are Duels?

Duels are coin battles where you influence which coins win by boosting them. You boost coins by swapping ETH for coins, with a minimum boost of $0.01. Each Duel runs for 24 hours. At the end of the Duel, the winning coin is announced and advances to the next round.

Winning coins continue to compete in new Duels, building winning streaks. However, if a coin loses three Duels consecutively, it becomes ineligible for future competitions.

What is the total supply per coin?

Each time a content coin is minted on Duels, it has a fixed total supply of 1 billion tokens. Out of this, 10 million tokens (1%) are immediately allocated to the creator. The remaining tokens become available for trading and boosting through Duels.

How is a winning Duel determined?

The winning coin is determined by the total amount of ETH Boosted over a 24-hour period. When the period ends, the coin with the highest Boosted value wins and advances to the next round. Purchases and trades outside of the Duels app do not count towards the winning criteria.

Coins that achieve longer winning streaks and higher ETH volumes qualify for Featured and Trending Duels, increasing their visibility to potential fans.

How can I earn by creating coins?

Coin creators can earn in two ways. First, when your coin participates in Duels, you'll earn fees on all trades — paid in ETH directly to your Duels account. Second, you can potentially earn by trading your coins on Uniswap. Note that Duels does not guarantee returns on coin trading. Coins have no guaranteed or inherent monetary value.

How do coins work?

Coins are created with a 1 Billion token supply and launch with a Uniswap V3 Liquidity Pool bonding curve starting at $400 USD Market Cap. When approximately 350 Million tokens have been purchased and the Coin reaches a $60K USD Market Cap, the Coin graduates to a Uniswap V4 Liquidity Pool. There is a 1% fee on all Boosts, which is split 0.9% for the Duels platform and 0.1% for the creator. All fees are streamed to smart contracts and held for distribution. If the accumulated earnings are greater than 0.00001 ETH then they are distributed automatically as duels end and may be withdrawn after that time. When a Coin reaches the $60K USD Market Cap and graduates to the Uniswap V4 Liquidity Pool, is retired from active duelling. After graduation, the fee changes to 0.3% which is split equally between Duels and the Creator. These fees will be captured from the liquidity pool periodically when they exceed 0.00001 ETH and made available for withdrawal.

How can I earn by boosting coins?

When you boost coins, you exchange ETH for a percentage of that coins total supply. The number of coins you receive will vary based on the coin’s trading volume and total supply. You can then trade these coins on Uniswap for potential returns. Note that Duels does not guarantee returns on coin trading. Coins have no guaranteed or inherent monetary value.
